Barbie Holiday Doll 2010 – The Christmas Barbie is Better Than Ever

Mattel, makers of the Barbie Holiday Doll 2010 and all other Barbie dolls, have been providing and continues to provide for hours of happiness for little girls and little girls at heart alike.  Many of the Barbie dolls from our childhood years may still be in their original boxes while others have been lovingly passed on to our children for their own playing enjoyment.  No matter in which category your Barbie dolls fall into, it was definitely money well spent.

Unlike its 2009 pink and gold counterpart, the Barbie Holiday Doll 2010 is outfitted in the stylish colors of the season – red and white with a smattering of gold.  In many ways, the design of its gown appeals to the adult market more than the children’s market mainly because of its relative simplicity compared to the 2009 Barbie Holiday Doll.

The skirt is full with layers of snow white fabric that conjures up the image of a snow princess rising from out of the pure powder of her kingdom.  You will love its simplicity, style and subtlety, all of which are qualities desirable in a ball gown fit for a New Year’s Eve party.

And then there’s the bodice.  You will find the balance between simplicity and sexiness very appealing so much so that copying it may be on your agenda.  The bodice is in strapless style with red and gold patterns all over it.

To complete the attire for the Christmas Barbie 2010, a floor-length shoulder wrap is added.  It provides a solid splash of vivid color against the powdery white backdrop of the skirt.  Add in the ribbon at the waist and you have a gown worthy of a real-life Barbie.

Then again, the curled ribbon at the waist appears to be an afterthought.  Tacky or trendy, the ribbon should be left alone if you desire to increase the value of the Barbie doll in the years to come.

Cute touches on the Barbie Holiday Doll are the headpiece and the chandelier earrings, both of which are art pieces unto themselves.  You can probably even use them for other Barbie dolls – that is, if you will open the tape that seals the doll inside its box and, thus, possibly lessen its value in the future.

Indeed, the Barbie Holiday Doll 2010 is a purchase worth making even if it means lining up in the stores.  But who wants to line up when you can go shopping online and eliminate all the hassles of shopping with the maddening crowd?  Certainly not you, we hope.
